Unfair trade 2

Two months ago, my daughter and I went to a MetroPCS store to purchase a new phone because her phone had broken. We chose a Samsung Galaxy S26. After the saleslady noticed that I was over 65, she offered us a promotion for customers 65 and older that included two free phones. We accepted the offer, and we were told that our monthly payment would be $60.

We were also told that this promotion was being offered through T-Mobile, not directly through MetroPCS.

However, when it came time to make the payments, the amount was not what we had been promised. In July, I paid $81 and change. Today, in August, I have just paid $91 and change. In only two months, I have paid approximately $50 more than the amount I was told I would pay.

After my recent unfair experience at Kia of Orange Park, I do not intend to wait and see whether these charges continue. I will return to the MetroPCS store on Monday to ask for an explanation and a resolution.

If T-Mobile cannot provide a predictable monthly payment that matches what I was promised, I will return to a MetroPCS plan. One of the main reasons I left AT&T twenty years ago was because I wanted a phone plan with a predictable monthly payment. That reliability was one of the things I appreciated about MetroPCS.

I expect the promotion and monthly charges to be clearly explained and honored as they were presented to me. If MetroPCS and T-Mobile cannot provide that consistency, I will have no choice but to look for another phone company.
